Domaine Clemancey, Gevrey Chambertain 2020

This wine is aged in oak barrels for 18 months. It reveals notes of strawberries, violets in its youth. Pleasant when young, it is a wine to keep. Gevrey-Chambertin wines express the richness and diversity of the Burgundy terroir. Full of colour, their intense aromas evoke blackcurrants and other small red and dark fruits with gamey undertones, and often liquorice once the wine has matured. Strong, with beautifully mellow tannins, they have just the right amount of sharpness. These structured, robust wines are designed for keeping.
